STEM support provider Women in Technology WA (WiTWA) has developed and launched Techtrails STEM & Future Skills Program; an initiative designed to generate passion, excitement and interest to inspire young people to consider careers in technology and science.
As well as school incursions that bring STEM professionals into schools to tell their career stories, the Techtrails initiative provides a series of online modules featuring links to future careers and video content showcasing inspiring female STEM role models.
Check out the amazing:
● The Digital Toolkit: a growing collection of avatars featuring future jobs
● Techtrails Online: a series of online modules that focus on key skills and industries within the STEM and Technology sectors.
This exciting new initiative has been designed to inspire your students for a future in STEM, and to give them the opportunity to explore where these skills could take them.
Free to access and easy to use, with modules covering a range of themes, your students will learn about the technology used in industries from marine science, and farming, to virtual reality, space and more!
This initiative is made possible through the funding and ongoing support by the Department of Jobs Tourism Science and Innovation under the Digital and Technology Skills Program; an initiative under the State STEM skills strategy, Future jobs, future skills – Driving STEM skills in Western Australia, which aims to build a globally competitive and innovative workforce with the skills to drive Western Australia’s technological future and create new job opportunities.
